YVROSE

    Yvrose’ Story

In November, 2010, we met a wonderful Haitian Christian lady, Yvrose (pronounced Eve-rose).  She had lived in the US for over 20 years and speaks good English.  She was married during that time but had over 10 miscarriages and evidently could not have any children.  Her husband left her.

In 2006, the Lord convicted her heart and she came back to Haiti.  She started a school in Port au Prince.   A year after her return, she remarried.  Yvrose would return to the US to work to support her school and pay the teachers.   She had just returned to Haiti from her last working trip on the day of the earthquake.  God spared her life as she was walking down the street when it hit.  The earthquake threw her across the road and the building fell where she had been walking.  Then it threw her back to the other side of the road and the building fell where she had just been!  She will tell you that on that day, she got “hot” for God, instead of lukewarm!

SInce the earthquake, Yvrose and her husband, Pierre Richard, have taken in 22 children while living without running water or electricity.  They have started another school in Fonds Parisien where they live not far from us.   You can read all about God’s providence in bringing us together with Yvrose and what he is doing in the updates blogs starting with the 4th Haiti trip, Vol. III and especially the 5th Haiti trip which tells of God’s providence in providing shelter for her family.

In April, Yvrose came to the states to visit us and we had the opportunity to video tape her testimony. Go to www.youtube.com.  In the search box, enter JUSTMERCYforHaiti and our videos will show up.  We are so grateful to the Lord that He brought this woman into our lives and service in Haiti.  She is amazing and has a passion for the Lord and we love her and her family.
