With the truck still in the government\u2019s possession, Bill\u2019s attention has been on the village next door.\u00a0 A couple of days ago, he bought rice and beans and he and our Haitian \u201cdaughters\u201d who live at our home went to the village and together with the villagers cooked a huge meal.\u00a0 They had planned on feeding 200 people.\u00a0 They did feed all the children but unfortunately ran out before the adults could be fed.\u00a0 Of course, we don\u2019t really know if just village children came or if some of the people were from other places.<\/p>\n

Yvrose\u2019 children came down and sang some praise songs and hymns.\u00a0 Bill said they all had a wonderful time and we hope this is one more step in bringing the love of God to the village.<\/p>\n

There have been several rains and many of the village roofs leak badly.\u00a0 Fixing the roofs<\/p>\n

and patching up the houses has been on our to do list since we went to Haiti.\u00a0 We will start soon fixing the roof of one widow with several small children who get wet anytime it rains.\u00a0 Bill has ordered sand needed for plastering and the palm leaves to put a new thatch roof on the house.\u00a0 A good thatch roof will last seven years.\u00a0 It is a more natural look for Haiti and much cooler than a metal roof would be and we don\u2019t need the truck to get it done.<\/p>\n

A 20 year old young woman named Denise has come down from the mountains to stay and help Yvrose with all the children.\u00a0 Denise was born with a birth defect in her legs.\u00a0 She could hardly walk until she fell one day and broke her leg. When the leg healed, she was healed!\u00a0 She could walk!!!\u00a0 An accident or a miracle?\u00a0 She believes the latter.<\/p>\n

Bill went to PAP Friday to see if there was any progress on getting the truck back.\u00a0 It is not sounding good. Please continue to pray for this situation.<\/p>\n

After all this time, we finally got the Iphone working so Bill can e-mail me short updates.\u00a0 Below is the one from today.\u00a0 As you can see, God continues to show us places we need to surrender to Him.<\/p>\n

Hi! Sweetheart,<\/p>\n

On my way to PAP again this morning! Yvrose called at 6:00 am and said she had to pick up 5 kids who were put out on the street! It seems an orphanage closed leaving the kids nowhere to go! Yvrose volunteered!!<\/p>\n

When she called she said she had to go by herself. I said I would go with her but I thought “I don’t want to go to PAP again!!”\u00a0 Then I thought about what she was doing and was ashamed of myself for whining.\u00a0 24 kids, Pierre Richard, and her in a space about the size of our kitchen! I hope I can be of some help!!<\/p>\n

We bought two chodyer yesterday, one of which we can cook 25#s of rice in!! Looks like we are going to need it!!<\/p>\n

I know where I come from and I know where I am going!\u00a0 \u2026.Bill<\/p>\n

Thank you so much for your continued prayers and support.\u00a0 There are so many needs in the world and so much tragedy right now it sometimes is almost overwhelming.\u00a0 But that means we just press harder into the Father and seek to bring His light and love to those around us.\u00a0 May God bless all of you as you seek Him.<\/p>\n
