Current Needs/Contact Us

#1 – Relief for folks devastated by Hurricane Melissa!!

Recently, Hurricane Melissa tore through the Caribbean leaving havoc in its wake.  The storm washed out gardens, felled food trees, and destroyed food sources which are scarce even in good times.  Please help us provide the following urgent needs for the nearly 60 families we work with.

FUNDING NEEDS FOLLOWING HURRICANE MELISSA:

1. Food for the families’ immediate needs.
2. Seeds/plants to reestablish gardens.
3. Fish traps, hooks, and line to make new fishing nets.  Fishing spears.
4. Sails for boats and wooden dugouts.
5. Metal and materials to replace roofs and fix houses.

#2 – A Teacher Home/Depot for Janou!

JUST MERCY built a church/school building with a cistern in the remote mountain village of Janou  Children previously walked a six hour round trip to attend the closest school down the mountain.  The people had to walk a three hour round trip to haul water for daily needs.  It was so exciting to see this project come together.

However, a small home and depot for supplies needs to be built.  With the increase in prices for everything these days, we estimate the home /depot will cost at least $15,000 – $20,000.

Would you please consider giving to facilitate these  children receiving an education and knowledge about the Father’s love for them?
