It is JUST that He sends, It’s for MERCY we go.

In the beautiful waters off of Ile a Vache, Haiti, a major food source is being destroyed: FISH!
Commercial fishermen with HUGE nets are decimating marine life which the people depend upon for food.
In January 2018, JUST MERCY designed, built, and installed a marine habitat in the sea.
It was a huge undertaking, building 70 concrete forms, mixing and pouring the pieces by hand.
It was so exciting to complete the installation of the first reef!
A second habitat was built and assembled in the yard, waiting to be put it in the sea.
In Jan. 2019, another team came to Haiti to put the 2nd reef in the sea.
The team built a raft with an opening in the center to make lowering the components much safer!
The raft was pulled out to the reef site with JUST MERCY's Haitian fishing boat.
The pieces had to be placed precisely for it to all come together correctly.
It took three trips to get all the pieces out to the site, including the large cap piece.
The second reef was in the sea!
During 2019, B.J., one of our scuba divers, oversaw a premier welding school in Kentucky make steel forms for future reefs!!!
In Jan. 2020. those forms were flown into Les Cayes, Haiti by Agape Flights.
Bill and B.J. spent their first week in Haiti in Jan. 2020 pouring a pad with their Haitian helpers in the side yard of the base to put the new forms on.
Michael arrived the next week along with the last shipment of forms and pouring the pieces began!
This is the third reef these three guys have worked on together!
Divers Michael and B.j. completed the installation of the 3rd reef!!
With these new forms, reefs can be put together much faster and they will not deteriorate like plywood forms, saving hours of labor and material.
Our goal is to put in 100's of these but at our current rate of one/year, it will take too long. You can help by donating the cost of a reef (currently $2000) and putting us in touch with scuba divers and others who would be interested in taking a mission trip to come help install the reefs, helping to insure the future food supply for the people of Ile a Vache!!

Who is Just Mercy ?

We’re some people who love Jesus, trying to love our brothers in his name. We went to Haiti to help with relief after the earthquake in 2010. We went back to help in any way we could. We are still in Haiti working to meet needs and extend the love of God with the hope of turning hearts to the Father all because “It is JUST that He sends. It is for MERCY we go.”

Relief for folks devastated by Hurricane Melissa

Recently, Hurricane Melissa tore through the Caribbean leaving havoc in its wake. The storm washed away gardens, felled food trees, and destroyed food sources which are scarce even in good times. Please help us provide the following urgent needs for the nearly 60 families we work with.
