Work continued on the house in Raket and an outdoor kitchen and “shower/toilet” room. Giving able bodied men work is one of the best things we can do! Things are spiraling down in Haiti. The gangs control so much of the capital city and the roads going out that carry supplies to other places in Haiti. Food is scarce. Gas is $12/gallon. Bill has spent time taking food to old folks and trying to encourage them. Life is hard. Bill receives requests for food constantly. The update he wrote said he felt like he was on the Jericho Road with people who had “fallen among thieves”, all so needy.
