Shortly after Bill came home in the spring, the gangs attacked the Port au Prince airport and it closed for quite awhile. Due to that and other problems Bill didn't get back to Haiti till August. Things had continued to spiral down in Haiti and it was dangerous for him to go to the city so he stayed on the island working on getting the reef project going again. Supplies were scarce so he designed a smaller reef and gave some guys jobs building them. While working on the reefs, helping people in other ways continued. One emergency: the daughter of a friend became deathly ill. Because of the boat Agape Flights had donated, we were able to give her a fast trip across the sea to a hospital where she recovered. Bill worked too hard and developed a hernia so he had to come home in October for surgery, hoping to go back soon.
