Bill's return to Haiti at the beginning of 2024 came at a time when manifestations (protests) were happening several times a week in Les Cayes. Hunger was wide spread. Food and fuel were expensive with gas selling for $16/gallon!! A friend sent to buy food in the city was robbed, though thankfully, not hurt. The next day a group was sent and came back with the food that was repackaged into individual family bundles and given out to the needy. A trip to the mountain village of Janou was taken, bringing the school uniforms made by Dress a Girl in SW Missouri to the children there. They were so excited! What a blessing to see the people lining up to get water out of the cistern JUST MERCY built rather than walk a three hour round trip to get it! Praise the Lord!!
